GOETHE INSTITUT
Yollarda Project: Book design
The Goethe Institut Istanbul organized a literary tour that took place from May 2009 to June 2010 in 24 cities in Turkey and eight cities in Europe. It was one of the largest literature projects the Goethe Institut had carried out anywhere in the world in recent years.

The tour, entitled “Yollarda - European Literature Goes to Turkey/Turkish Literature Goes to Europe”, was supported by the “Cultural Bridges” program of the EU. A total of 48 notable authors, musicians, photographers, filmmakers and artists from eight European countries came to Turkey.

We designed the project logo, all branded material, numerous posters, brochures, invitations, and finally the project book containing the impressions of each author and artist who participated in the literary tour. One of the key elements of the design is the image of a book flying away like a butterfly or a bird.
